Prespecified-Time Observer-Based Distributed Control of Battery Energy Storage Systems

The distributed control of battery energy storage systems (BESSs) plays an important role in the practical operation microgrid. This brief studies state-of-charge (SoC) balancing and total charging/discharging power tracking issues for BESSs with multiple heterogeneous units under premise that only partial can access desired power. First, two prespecified-time observers are proposed to estimate average state respectively. Second, a novel strategy based on is proposed, which realizes SoC assuming Two distinctive advantages this (i) both be accurately estimated within prespecified time, determined advance independent initial states or parameters, (ii) communication costs reduced effectively single-point failures avoided.
